Lake Gogebic Improvement Association

Lake Gogebic is one of the most beautiful lakes in Michigan and the largest inland lake in the Upper Peninsula. All who live on the lake and in the surrounding area have an obligation to see that this lake is kept in the best condition possible for use by future generations to come. For this reason, the Lake Gogebic Improvement Association was formed. LGIA has been a non-profit association for over 37 years. The board consists of 15-17 directors and the officers are elected from within the directors. Elections take place at an annual meeting/picnic. This event is attended by members and guests. It is a great time to meet neighbors, old & new and to also enjoy a good selection of pot-luck dishes. LGIA has an open board meetings policy. All are welcome to attend and new ideas/suggestions are always welcome. Membership is open to all interested in the future of Lake Gogebic.
